Uncertainty on Capitol Hill, where a group of House conservatives are threatening to derail a key vote on President Trump's legislative agenda, arguing the House's one big beautiful bill is one big unruly mess.

There's also uncertainty and confusion across much of the federal government,

as Elon Musk doubles down on threats to fireworkers if they don't respond to an email justifying their jobs.

Right now, a key vote in the House on a multi-trillion dollar budget blueprint hangs by a thread with a handful of far-right members standing firmly against it.

Over concerns, it could balloon the deficit.

And a handful of moderate Republicans hesitantly on board, but concerned it could lead to dramatic

cuts to Medicaid. This morning, House Speaker Mike Johnson spoke to reporters as he scrambled to unite

virtually his entire conference around the budget framework, and he brushed aside questions about

what is and is not in it. We're very, very close, and we're excited about the progress,

and I'm very positive, and I'm absolutely convinced we're going to get this done. This resolution

itself contains no policies. It is a framework only, and it's the product of months and months

of work completed with the input of over 95% of the individual members of the Republican conference.
