Hello there, I'm Chuck Todd and this is the Chuck Todd Cast on Tuesday, or as I like to

say, if it's Tuesday, voters are voting somewhere.

And so if it's Wednesday, it means we get to talk about what those voters do.

Well, on Tuesday, we had local and national politics squaring off in the lovely state of Ohio,

two special elections, determined their next member of Congress in the end.

It was the Democratic establishment and Trump, who to borrow an NBC phrase these days, took

the gold, starting with the deep blue 11th district, and where there was quite a bit of

Akron Moni, yes, I'm very proud of that pun.

Shantelle Brown defeated the progressive Bernie Sanders-Akkulite Nina Turner.

But wait, did we actually hear Turner concede?

She complained about the fact that she didn't outspend her opponent enough.

I'll get more than that in a second.

And moving to the 15th district, Trump's favorite might carry, beat out 11 rivals, and his

37% became a victorious margin.

So is that the secret?

Trump's endorsement, it's more influential when there are 10 other people on the ballot.

By the way, if you were worried that he might have missed the excitement, fear not, as of

11 o'clock Wednesday morning, the former President of the United States has issued two different

statements out in response to anyone who might have thought he was losing steam after

primary loss in Texas.

He's wondering why there isn't more coverage saying it's the biggest story going, apparently

not paying attention to what's happening in the lovely state of New York.
