On September 4, 1969, Nina Twig and her husband Harry was sitting in their front room with a close friend,

canon John Pierce Higgins, when suddenly a voice told Ena to turn on her tape recorder.

Ina was a clairvoyant.

She did so and then found herself going into trance.

The voice she had been hearing then began to speak through

her. It was the voice of Bishop James Pike, her good friend, who had been missing for seven

days after becoming lost in the Palestinian desert. His voice told her that he was now dead and had been for 24 hours. He then explained

the circumstances of his death and provided directions to the location of his body, which turned out to be

correct. Bishop James Albert Pike, who died in 1969, was an American Episcopal bishop.

He had a son called Jim, but with Pike's attention being occupied with church affairs,

Pike himself admitted he had not been close to his son in recent years.

And according to Time magazine, he admitted, Jim was turning towards the hippie way of life as a teenager.

When Jim became a freshman at San Francisco College, he began experimenting with drugs, LSD and POT.

Meanwhile, Pipe was invited to spend a sabbatical at Cambridge College in England.

He invited his son, Jim, to go with him, in the hopes that Jim would leave the drugs behind.

And Jim agreed to go, but without Reverend Pike's knowledge, he brought the drugs with him to England.

When Pike found out, he agreed to let his son use the drugs in the safety of his university digs,

in order, in Pike's mind, that it would stop Jim going out and searching for drugs in less salubrious surroundings.

When father and son returned to America, Pike believed they'd grown much closer,

so it came as a devastating shock when Pike's even-song service at Grace Cathedral was interrupted

with a message that his son Jim had been found dead
