Even simple breathing exercises when I wake up and when I go to bed, just simple box breathing. Four seconds inhale, four seconds exhale and so on, it makes a very big difference. When you're getting angry in a meeting or something like that, then something in your brain tells you, just breathe. Then you start breathing and you control your parasympathetic system and things start going better. It was one of my bosses in the past. It was one of the first jobs in the United States. When I started to work there I was really happy and then things started to look really odd. Business-wise, this guy was successful, but he was saying things that were really weird. He was bragging about listening to people's opinions just because then he could convince them how wrong they were. At the beginning I thought it was just a joke or a salesy type of speaking. Then at some point I realized that people were coming out of the meetings with him shaking. It was not just me. Then I started to get more worried. I started to realize that the guy couldn't accept anybody else's opinion. I began to wonder if it was normal that there would be a dog at work running between my legs and barking, even while I was on the phone with a client. The guy had a dog and it was fetching while everybody else was working. This was the first office I'd seen in the United States so I wasn't sure what to expect. I asked other people and they said it was out of line.
