Hi, everyone. It's Sam here. Welcome to Radio Headspace and to Tuesday.

I remember hearing about this fascinating study a few

0:23.7

years ago that stopped me in my tracks. It was about how we begin to unconsciously think and

0:29.7

behave like protagonists in novels we read. Researchers refer to this as experience-taking,

0:36.6

and it happens when we're able to forget about

1:51.0

One simple question I like to work with is,

2:03.6

how are you?

2:04.6

And I check in with how I'm doing mentally,

2:07.6

seeing if my mind is busy or quiet.
