We are celebrating this President's day with another government shutdown, the third in a couple of months.

Now, in this one, most of the government is funded, but not homeland security.

And the Democrats seem to have some leverage here.

They want all kinds of

restrictions and reforms on ice, some of which might be palatable to the Trump administration.

Others not, and they weren't able to work it out. And I don't know how long this is going to drag on.

By the way, President's Day is a made-up holiday.

They used to be you got off for Lincoln's birthday

and Washington's birthday.

And then I guess there was a feeling that there was too many holidays,

so it was combined into one,

and the day itself doesn't reflect,

except by accident of calendar, anybody's birthday. So the full impact hasn't been felt, but it will be

of this shutdown. Looks like the competition in the Olympics doesn't only involve being on the
