So my friends, this is one of our last shows of the year.

So I thought that I'd do something a little different for you and track what news stories

that most affected our politics and the American public in 2022.

So let's start.

Early in January of 2022, we got a sign that not always right in the tech industry when

Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes was found guilty of defrauding investors in her blood

testing company and was eventually sentenced to 11 years in prison.

Interestingly enough, Apple's stock prices peaked in January, but it was the beginning

of the end as inflation accelerated and interest rates climbed.

In late January, we were introduced to the Omicron variant of the COVID virus.

I mean, let's talk about good times.

We had the Olympics in Beijing, China and the Los Angeles Rams came from behind to in

the Super Bowl.

In a landmark ruling, Remington, I'm talking about the gun manufacturer, agreed to pay 73

million dollars to the Sandy Hook families.

And then you may remember this, the baby formula recall would later lead to a serious baby

formula shortage.

Then Russia invaded Ukraine, first by surrounding the country and then on February 24th, Putin

launched a formal missile strike, bombing Kiev and 11 other cities.

Now after the bombings, three things happened in rapid succession.

First, the world sanctioned Russia in an effort to strangle its economy.
