And how's this for holiday magic?

President Biden has signed a short term funding bill that will avert a government shutdown

through next week.

The final passage of that bill is expected by Christmas Eve.

This crucial step puts us on a path to a year-long government spending bill, while some of

that year has already been eaten up, but ensuring that all agencies get the funding they need

to serve the people.

The continuing resolution we passed yesterday will ensure that government must stay

open through December 23rd Friday to Friday.

So appropriators have enough time to finish and we have enough time to finish so that

you can go home and celebrate the holidays with your families.

But former president Scrooge is now urging his old buddies in the GOP to hold out until

after the new year when Republicans take control of the House to negotiate a new spending bill

and the expansion of the debt ceiling.

Trump also made a complete and total fucking asshole of himself last Thursday when he made

this very big announcement.

No one knew this major announcement was going to be, but there was a lot of actual speculation.

Would he announce a long-shot bid to become Speaker of the House?
