If you know me a bit, you know that I'm a big Seth Godin fan.

I think his books are brilliant.

I think he's to the point.

He's my kind of writer.

And today we're gonna take a look at his book, Tribes, a leadership, marketing, and overall amazing business book.

Let's get into it, so let's get down to business. The main focus that Seth Gonden has in the book Tribes is the idea of the power of community.

In this book Seth defines a tribe as a group of people who are connected to three different things.

They're either connected to one another, a leader, or an idea.

Seth uses this definition or framework to discuss various groups,

he has picked as examples in his book.

The examples range from Mitch Matthews, who inspires a team at Microsoft, to man named Nathan and Winnograd who is on a

mission to stop the number of dogs are being put to sleep in animal shelters.

Two different kinds of worlds but they both cultivated a tribe. This book is laid out in a series of

parts or divisions. It's kind of hard to call them chapters. Seth Godin jumps around quite a bit but it makes sense and the overall message of this book is we

need you to lead us. Throughout the book Seth Godin encourages readers to find their

tribe, their community and step up and lead.

He speaks of even leading a local community.
