All right, before I get into the five rules of building a powerful brand, let's talk about

this word, brand. What is a brand in the first place? When people say, you know, building a

brand, what does that mean? Well, a good way to look at it is take a look at your business as an individual.

If you were to describe a friend, how would you describe them?

What are they known for?

Would you say they're out going and upbeat and funny and a good listener? Would you say they're going and upbeat and funny and a good listener?

Would you say they're fashionable and up on current events and fun to hang out with?

You're describing your friend, their personality traits.

And believe it or not, your business has its own identity. your that comes up in your head when you think of a particular business or brand.

So certain thoughts or certain ideas come to your head when I say Walmart or McDonald's or Mercedes

or Virgin Atlantic.
