Hey, dealmakers, welcome to the show where it's all about financial freedom with real estate.

0:03.9

Let's do this.

0:10.4

Do you know how to get your money right?

0:12.2

Like, do you really know how money works?

0:14.6

And I'm not talking about budgeting or saving or any of that stuff.

0:17.1

I mean, you know all that.

0:18.1

I mean, do you know how to make like scalable passive income

0:22.2

through your real estate to the point where you can live off of it? And most people don't. They think that they have to put in more time to make more money. That's a job, right? Or any kind of activity, even if they're paid by the hour. And even if you're making $100 an hour or $500, you're still trading time for money, or they're trying to save their weight of retirement,

0:38.6

which is very not likely.

0:40.6

Or they think they're going to do better by buying rentals or flipping houses, and none of these things actually lead to financial freedom. So in this video, I'm going to share with you my 10 money rules that let me quit my job and scale to $300 million through apartments. Let's do this. All right, let's

0:55.0

start with money rule number one. Retirement is stupid, okay? So just the idea that I want to sit

1:00.1

on my butt when I'm old and gray and not doing anything is just, it's ludicrous. And I know this

1:06.0

because I did it once for 90 days. Back in the software days, if you were there for five years, they would have

1:11.8

a paid sabbatical. This was in the heyday of the internet craze, and I was part of a software

1:15.5

company, and so I paid 90 days off after five years of service, which was wild. And of gosh,

1:21.1

of course, I traveled, my favorite things to do. And it was super cool until about the third week,

1:27.5

and I started feeling my brain slowed down. Like I was sleeping 10 hours a day. I was like, oh, my gosh, I'm so relaxed now. Maybe I always need to sleep 10 hours. And it was, and then it scared me, right? I was like, oh my gosh, I'm seeing all these cool things. But my mind is not productive. And so this is where I'm like, oh my gosh, I've always wanted financial freedom so I can do nothing, but that was like awful. Just the idea of not doing anything productive is dumb. Like most humans are wired to be productive. Yes, for a period of time, you're going to sit on the beach or play a lot of golf. But is that really the meaning of life? Is that really a

2:01.6

meaning, is that living a life of purpose? One where you're in your deathbed, you look back

2:05.4

in your life and you don't have any regrets. Right. So live life to the fullest. You want to do

2:09.9

something productive, something that makes the world a better place, something that lights you up.

2:15.0

It doesn't have to generate money, but something that's productive and productive in the world. So just working for retirement is really dumb. And the other

2:23.0

idea that's dumb is related to this is actually thinking that retirement is when you,
