His writing is a tender note of thanks to a group of Christians who were especially close to his heart.

He prays that their love of God will grow. That phrase, may your love grow. Reminds me of the lyrics

of that old Bellamy Brothers song, may your love flow. Just let your love flow,

like a mountain stream, and let your love grow with the smallest of dreams,

and let your love show. And you'll know what I mean. It's the season.

You know, it's always the season to let your love grow.

Your love for each other and your love for God. But we're human, are we?

We may often find our emotions out of season and struggle to show and grow our love.

Well, I pray this peaceful reflection on Philippians chapter one will bring you to appreciate

the love of God better. May you explore new opportunities to grow in your love of God

and show love an unselfish concern for everyone you encounter.

Rest here as we begin.

Just settle here as the Holy Father grows your love for him.

And as the Holy Son reveals his love to you,

and the Holy Spirit directs your heart to one of unbounded love towards others.

Allow your eyes now to close without effort.
