Summary

Hello our little survivalists!!! This month we read about another problematic podcasting duo, Benny and Joy! We chat about Caitlin's vindication on her 2 most controversial theories: never trust a blonde man and men and women cannot be platonic BFF's. We also circle back to unpack some more of the Yesteryear discourse, please don't get mad at us!!! Be sure to join the YSR Nap Trap Book Club channel which is in the bio section of Caitlin's Instagram @wilderbeginnings. This is where we discuss the book and we'll be voting on our June pick ASAP! We love you for listening and reading along with us, don't forget to rate/ review please!! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Hi. Hi. That was completely perfectly synchronized. Wow. Usually we really talk over each other with the highs just like starting immediately with this podcast. Yeah. Yeah. Hi. I'm so happy to see you. Everybody, we're so excited to be with you again, our little readers. This is our book club episode for May. Also, our non-readers, because some people have said they still listen to these even if they haven't read the book. And that's the ultimate compliment. I love that so much. And we actually do aim to make sure it's going to be entertaining to people, even if they didn't read the book.

things that I wanted to be like, no, you guys, like, this is actually crazy.

1:32.4

So to get into spoilers, basically when she's talking about how she got her husband who was isolating her, moved her to this one particular area of L.A., Mount Washington, I was like, whoa, that's, like, he's totally isolating her from everyone. Like, you don't just casually move there. Where is that? Far as fuck. I was going to say, I was picturing it being very, like, desolate, deserty. Where is it in L.A.? Oh, no. It's, like, mountainous. Okay. But it's far. It's like very much on the outskirts.

2:03.4

And I love-far to an L.A. person is also very relative.

2:08.4

So true, but it's not easy. It's, if I had a friend that lived in Mount Washington, we wouldn't be friends.

2:16.1

Got it. Okay. Because it's just too much. It's just too much. And I will say, though, and I said this in the book club chat, and then I realized, like, oh, people might have actually taken this a little bit more seriously than I meant it. But one of the big things about being in Los Angeles is that when you refer to freeways, you say, I took the 101.

2:35.8

I went on the 405.
