sword and scale daily true crime headlines. A verdict arrives in the murder trial of

Chad Day Bell.

In Northern California, a 33-year-old man has been arrested and charged with three counts of

first-degree murder in addition to a slew of other charges.

An actor attempted to flee the United States after trying to kill his ex-girlfriend.

And in Minnesota, a 30-year-old pregnant woman was killed and brutally dismembered

after joining a loved one for

dinner last week. All of this right now on sword and scale daily. In the

triple murder trial of supposed doomsday profit Shad Daybell, the jury has come to a decision.

The verdict was read aloud Thursday afternoon in the Ada County Courthouse in Boise, Idaho.

Mr. Daybell has been found guilty of three counts of first degree murder, three counts of

conspiracy to commit first degree murder, as well as two counts of insurance fraud.

Now because Daybell was found guilty on all counts and the case was being tried as a capital

murder case he is eligible for the death penalty something the state

prosecutors have announced they will be seeking. The sentencing phase

begins this morning at around 8.30 a.m. Mountain Time.

Judge Stephen Boyce, who also oversaw the murder trial of Lori Valo de Bell,

gave the jury instructions on the sentencing phase.
