In an unsurprising move today, the DOJ and 30 state and district

attorneys general announced an antitrust lawsuit against

Live Nation and Ticketmaster.

The reason I say that it's unsurprising is because this has been rumored for at least a couple

of months the investigation's been going on since

2022 but here's what it's all about when it comes to antitrust lawsuits it's all

about monopolization and and restricting competition so or promoting competition but accusing the companies of restricting competition so in this case the government is alleging that live nation ticket master has a monopoly that is restricting competition in the market, it's depriving ticket innovation, it's inflating costs, all of these negative things.
