Well, the left is apoplectic in response to a Virginia Supreme Court ruling that at least for now has curtailed their efforts

to make the congressional map in Virginia significantly more partisan than it is.

I think changing it to a 10 to 1 ratio, 10 Democrats versus one Republican in terms of the likelihood of anyone being elected in the various congressional districts.

And rather than just deal with the fact that a Supreme Court of a state, or in the case of Virginia, technically it's the Commonwealth, ruled against their scheme, they've gone a little bit crazy.

Now, I don't need to go into detail about the Virginia Supreme Court ruling

other than just to provide a quick summary.

So under the Virginia Constitution and under the law in Virginia,

in order to do what they wanted to do the Democrats in this case

put a referendum on the ballot they needed to vote for it prior to an election

once in the legislature,

allow the election to occur for the legislature,

and then second, after that new legislature was elected,

they needed a vote again for it,

and then they could move with the process in order to get it up onto the ballot for the voters to decide.

The problem in Virginia is the left installed an absurdly long 45-day election period,

meaning the elections began,

you could begin voting 45 days before the legislative election.

And they voted on it in the legislature,

this gerrymander provision, weeks,

weeks after the election voting began.
