An extremely busy week here in Washington, D.C., court decisions, court victories, and a major security scare concerning the President of the United

States. I'll lead with that. President Trump was nearly assassinated again last weekend,

Saturday night at the White House Correspondents' Dinner at the Capitol Hilton, which is a famous

hotel here in Washington, D.C. Most famous, at least or infamously nationally,

because it was the same hotel outside of which President Reagan was nearly assassinated by

John Henkley, who, by the way, the courts have released.

So he's out in the streets right now.

I mean, talk about something that gets me going

even before we get into the disaster of last Saturday. But this is the third time the president's

nearly been killed. Defenders of the Secret Service are suggesting that the system, quote,

worked. And I don't know about you, but a shooter who makes it

through a security perimeter and is stopped,

not because he's shot, but because he falls.

And a shooting takes place literally outside the room

where the president of the United States is, where the the president of the United States is, where

the vice president of the United States is, where the Speaker of the House is, where his

virtually his entire cabinet is present, not to mention other members of the House and

senior government officials, how on earth is that considered a secret service success?
