You know, a lot of the listeners to the Paracass have asked us to have a skeptic on the show.

Now, one of the problems with some of the skeptics out there is that they are so dogmatic in their own beliefs that they are true believers.

In the same sense that someone who believes everything in the UFO field or everything in the

paranormal field might be termed a true believer. These are true disbelievers. And we wanted to get

somebody who I think and David thinks have responsible viewpoint, someone who's really, really trying

to understand what's going on and define a rational explanation.

And the person that we settle on is a regular participant in our forums.

Derek Barthalamus, he works in the entertainment industry doing post-production for TV shows,

and he's part of the Independent Investigations Group.

David, I know you have been aching to talk to Derek on the air, so why don't you pick up on this?

I realize that not many paranormal podcasts or radio shows will have on someone who is openly associated with an organization that

essentially proves that things are not as they appear to be.

In other words, an organization like the IIGS that essentially, and correct me if I'm

wrong about this, Derek, their charter seems to be to debunk cases that they feel, when I say cases, I'm going to

say paranormal cases. Correct me if I'm wrong. I suppose, I'll turn the question around to you.

Set up the IIGS for us. Who are you guys and what do you do? Well, thanks first for letting me be
