In Arkansas, a man took his 11-year-old steps on hostage and fatally shot him before being

done down by police officers.

A camping and shooting trip, attended by three-off duty LAPD officers, ended with one of them

seriously shot and another arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

Finally, in Florida, a newspaper article exposed the fact that Gregory Tony, current

brown-ward county sheriff, killed a man in 1983 when he was 14 years old and didn't

disclose it when he applied to become a police officer or when he was appointed a sheriff.

K-8 TV News reports that 11-year-old Jordan Roberts was shot and killed inside his home

in Little Rock, Arkansas and Friday evening after he was taken hostage by 32-year-old Brent

Martin.

Martin lived with Jordan and his mother, Miranda Alfred, in a house on Karen Court.

A GoFundMe page started by the family identified Martin as the boy's stepfather, but the exact

relationship between Martin, Alfred, and Roberts is still under investigation.

Law enforcement became aware of the situation on Friday evening when Miranda Alfred arrived

at a police station and told him that her son had been taken hostage by his father.

A SWAT team was dispatched to the residents and the officers at the scene were awaiting their

arrival when they heard gunshots coming from inside the house.
