I can't remember if this is his third or fourth time on.

He is, of course, an AEI colleague, but he also does something at that sort of academic

chicken check, Johns Hopkins School for Advanced International Studies, which I should disclose

my wife has a master's from.

Anyway, glad to have back how brands.

He's the author of a new, well, he's the editor, compiler, grand strategist of a new book,

the new makers of modern strategy from the ancient world to the digital age.

So, like, this book is actually, this is a new iteration of a book that's been around

for, that goes back a ways.

Why don't you just sort of tell us the sort of, before we get into what is grand strategy

and all that, just put the story of the book itself?

Yeah, so this is kind of a reboot of the founding text of what you might think of as strategic

studies, which is basically the study of how you use military means and other means

to accomplish political ends.
