It looks like one “Friends” star isn’t making many friends these days in Hollywood. In the lead-up to Matthew Perry’s hotly anticipated memoir, “Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing,” Matthew has been making the talk show rounds, teasing the chapters about his life-threatening struggles with addiction. But that’s not what’s making headlines now! Some other excerpts have been leaked, and he’s feeling the blowback. Matthew is taking some heat over some not-so-Friends-ly remarks he made about universally loved Hollywood good guy Keanu Reeves, which has fans on the internet - as well as celebs from all over the industry - up in arms. And besides his Keanu disses, Chandler Bing is also kissing and telling about a drunken evening he spent with actor Valerie Bertinelli, who has taken to TikTok saying she’s mortified by that night. Obviously Matthew’s on a major press push to get people to read his book, and he’s certainly getting press for dishing on fellow celebs, but is it possible that this publicity campaign has backfired and will hurt book sales?
