0:23.3	We are in Matthew chapter four today going verse by verse through the scriptures.

1:28.1	Matthew's writing to the Jews to persuade them that Jesus is the Christ
1:33.1	and that he is not just the savior of a select group of people and the Jews,
1:38.9	but he is the savior of the world.
1:46.0	Last week or yesterday, rather, we talked about John the Baptist ministry and the precursors to glory.
1:56.0	Now I want to get into the next chapter, Matthew chapter 4, verse 1.
2:02.2	Reading from the ESV.
2:05.1	Then Jesus was led up by the spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.
2:10.7	And after fasting 40 days and 40 nights, he was hungry.
2:15.1	And the tempter came and said to him,
2:22.1	If you are the son of God, command these stones to become loaves of bread.
2:30.3	But he answered, it is written, man should not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.
