I'm glad that we could join together for scripture study this week.

In fact, no matter where you are on the spectrum between shaken and unshaken,

I can't think of a better way to fortify our faith or to stabilize our spirituality

than to spend time with God in his word, to build upon the rock of our redeemer,

to dig deep and to sink in those footings, so that we have feet of faith to stand on,

so that no matter what the winds of doctrine or the crashing waves of adversity,

1:29.0

no matter what comes, we'll be able to withstand the storm.

We're going to see some examples of storms today,

and the way the Lord allows us to rise above them.

1:39.0

But I do pray that our time spent in scripture is a blessing to us all,

1:44.0

that it does strengthen us and stabilize us, that it helps us move ever closer
