homespun host, Eric Mataxis. Hey there, folks. This is the Eric Mataxis show, and it struck me

that, not literally, it struck me ideologically that there are people who listen to this show

who do not really know much about the alliance defending freedom.

I'm talking about them all this month.

I've talked about them in the past.

And I thought for those folks who are tuned out at that point, who are not paying attention,

I thought we really need to explain to you a little bit about what this magnificent

and unfortunately necessary

organization does and who they are. So we got senior counsel at ADF, Matt Sharp, Matt, you're

way too young to be senior counsel. You're not fooling anybody. But tell us, you know, for people

who don't have a clue, because to to me this is one of the most important

organizations that exists and I'm not exaggerating as an American I feel very strongly but I know a lot

of people listening don't have a clue and I don't do it justice so so just tell us basically

who you guys are and what you do yeah so alliance defending Alliance Defending Freedom, we're a non-profit law firm

with a very single-minded goal to keep the door open for the spread of the Gospels. And we do that in

three issues, in marriage and family, in religious liberty, and free speech, and in life. And so

we do litigation, we do training, we help with legislation, but all with the goal of keeping the door open for the spread of the gospel.

Now, you say spread of the gospel, and I will even quibble with you, because I think you're being, you're being ever so slightly parochial in the sense that when you talk about religious liberty, I mean, I say this for myself and for my audience. The amazing thing to
