Nemhauser. And I'm back in Seattle. I don't look like The Walking Dead. I got so many comments

yesterday from my 4 a.m. pod that were concerned about my well-being was very nice.

Also, just the reality of this is the face you get. And there's only so much I can do about it.

But happy to have gotten a night's sleep in my own bed. And it's Tuesday, which means we get to talk with Zyaks legend, Matt Hasselback.

How are you doing, Matt? I'm good. I feel bad for your

travel. I mean, that's tough. I've been there. It's, you know, you should just write a story on that.

You know, you're probably an expert traveler by now. Well, I mean, you, the Hasselbacks are,

you know, never gathering moss. You guys are always on the move. So I feel like I need to learn. I'm the Padawan in this relationship. Yeah, we don't. My wife turned, she had a big birthday. Let's just say that. She had a big birthday this weekend and or this week, two days after Christmas. And I surprised her with a trip to the Virgin Islands for a night. It was,

it was epic. It was kind of great direct flight, got in, got out. The kids are all home from

school and stuff. So I think she was like, why are we leaving? We shouldn't be leaving. And I'm

like, all right, just one day. Annabelle was covering the Fenway Bowl. So she was working.

My son was away and, you know, doing stuff. And then my other daughter. So like, it was a great trip and got a little bit of vitamin D and got back. So, um, yeah, not without delays and seven hours here and all that, but like still, it was all worth it. Uh, so I haven't done the Virgin Islands before.

Was this first time for you?

It was super easy.

No customs.

Um, all that but like still it was all worth it uh so i haven't done the virgin islands before is it was this first time for you or repeat it was super easy no customs um no passport just i mean it was

it was great it was no issue like a three and a half hour flight uh from boston it was yeah

it was pretty awesome amazing and uh we haven't talked to you since uh the holidays how was uh holidays in the Hasseback household? Yeah, it was great. Like everybody, you know, you almost need a nap after the whole deal and we had a huge storm here and I saw we lost power during the, uh, during the Seahawks collective show. And I had just set this thing up with like the people who run like the Wi-Fi at our house. And I was like, all right, if we ever lose power, I need us to not lose Wi-Fi. And like, they're like, yeah, yeah, you know, it cost a bunch of money and stuff. But I'm like, how do I even know if this even worked? And so when that happened, we lost all of our power, generator goes on, but the Wi-Fi Wi-Fi like kicked into the like the cell phone

mode or whatever so it worked it was great I'm like uh it was well worth the cost that was impressive

I was very confused as that happened I was like shouldn't she be about to get cut off and it just

kept working and I'm like well it's a in my world it'll be a Hanuk miracle, you know, that the lights just keep going on even after you're out of power. Well, I think the laptop and she actually was using like a traveled light. And so, like, yeah, you know, the technology, this is the thing that I do know. Like, it's very, it was very helpful to me when I was 40 years old, still playing in the NFL.
