Many years ago when I was writing for ESPN The magazine, I remember this distinctly, Edger

and James was coming out of college, did not trust a single soul.

Looked across the media landscape and said, okay, this guy is from Miami and he is Cuban,

I will tell him my story even though I don't trust anybody.

And even though no one in the media looks like me and I remember thinking to myself, I

have nothing in common with Edger and James.

I don't know why he would choose me to go, you know, to Bel Glade and hang out in his

car and watch Scarface on the television on the dashboard of his Mercedes in a totally

impoverished area.

But he chose a journalist that was close enough and by that, I mean, not close at all.

So anyways, I tell you all of this as an introduction to master Tess Fatsian.

He is doing work for Bleacher Report.

He went the traditional path of traditional journalism, newspapers, the Washington Post,

but found a different path for himself at Bleacher Report and now has a series called

Untold Stories that is very sugar, very sticky because he gets players to tell honest stories

that you might not hear anywhere else because it's a relaxed environment that's a little

closer to home for them than most of the environments where they're interviewed in.
