I want to talk about masking in healthcare settings.

The long march of COVID normalization has come for masks at the doctor, the hospital, the pharmacy.

Following a shift in CDC recommendations in the fall, we have seen universal masking

and health care settings break down.

You know, across the country, hospitals, doctors offices, and other health care providers

are dropping their mask mandates, usually following guidelines that have been dropped at the

state level.

So the bottom line here is that the idea of lifting these requirements in hospitals and

nursing homes, even as hundreds continue to die of COVID every day, is unacceptable.

You know, for the week ending in April 17th, over 1,300 people died of COVID-19.

We've had hundreds of nursing home workers die in 2023 alone so far.

Healthcare settings, especially nursing homes and long-term care facilities.
