We are friends and family members of alcoholics and addicts who have found a path to serenity and happiness.

We who live or have lived with the seemingly hopeless problem of addiction to understand as perhaps a few others can.

So much depends on our own attitudes and we believe that changed

attitudes can aid recovery. Before we begin we would like to state that though we

at the recovery show may be in a 12-step program we represent ourselves rather than the program.

As I mentioned a couple weeks ago, I am traveling, visiting my parents this weekend.

Sad to report that my mother is actually still in the rehab facility.

We're working hard to be able to bring her home and that was part of what was

going on during the visit and in consequence I had very little time to prepare a

program. I will be sharing with you Mary Pearl T's thoughts on Step 3.

Step 3.

Step 3, made a decision to turn our will in our lives over the care of God as we understood him.

That's the God that you understand, not a God of somebody else's understanding.

It doesn't, if you were in a formal religion, it doesn't have to be that. It can be but it doesn't have to be it's the God that you can understand

And I remember the first speaker that I ever heard at a conference her name was Ramona Belford and she was an Indian girl from Oklahoma

And her spirit her higher power was the great spirit and she said I would give you my higher power
