Well, good morning, everybody from around the world. I'm Father Chris Ailar here at the National

Trine of the Divine Mercy. And it's an honor and a joy to be with you for New Year's Eve as we're

getting ready to say goodbye to 2022. Ask for many graces for 2023. We have a crowd here today.

We're welcomed to join all of us in praying this important topic to marry the mother of God in understanding how and why we can say that in dispute.

I found a video I'm going to play for you that is just it blows my mind. So stay with us because we're going to talk about a bunch of new stuff and the little

memories of some of the old stuff, or a little review of some of the old stuff. But let us begin.

You've probably heard the news. We lost Pope Emeritus Benedict, Pope Emeritus, Benedict XVI, who just passed away early this morning.

Let us pause but a moment in brief silence and then say a prayer for the repose of his soul.

Heavenly Father, we ask you send the Holy Spirit down upon us.

Give us the life and example of a disciple of Christ.

We also pray at this time for the church,

for the repose of the soul of Benedict the 16th,

that you may forgive him any sins and welcome him into everlasting life and mother mary be his guide

and show him the way to your son and we ask all this through christ our lord in the name of the

father and of the son and of the holy spirits well Well, God bless you. You know, tomorrow I am

going to say a few more words on Pope Benedict. I'm doing the homily. We'll be doing the Mass here for

New Year's Day, which remember is a Holy Day of obligation, but it fell on Sunday this year. So you don't

have to go the extra time. But, you know, the day after Pope Bennett became Pope, he addressed the cardinals, and he put

his pontificate and the church under Mary.

I find it interesting that he died on the vigil of the biggest Marian feast day.

Mary, the mother of God.

You know, he made an act of entrustment to Mary that very first day.
