This is the movement of the Holy Family, leading people to Jesus through friendship, good conversation, and the Rosary.

So welcome to our Rosary meditation. I am blessed to be with the team with maybe the best name yet.

Their team name is salty and lit. Yes, you heard me right. Salty and lit. And I'm at the home of Grace Herobcic. Very good. She is with St. Paul's outreach and she's a

missionary, does great work. You're a missionary. You're an missionary. You're an apostle. You're an

apostle. And thanks to Esther, Eckstein, Eckstein for inviting me here this evening. So it's awesome to be with you.

So today is the feast of St. Mary Magdalene, one of the greatest women in the church. So let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son of the Holy Spirit.

And let's call to mind

all those that we promised to pray for. We continue to pray for little Olivia Keneally.

As she prepares for a special experimental surgery, we pray for the end of her seizures. We pray for

a little Damien and for Steve White with his heart transplant.

Now, Mary Magdalene, the exact nature of Mary's past life remains open to speculation.

For all Scripture says about it is that she was known to be a sinful woman from whom seven

demons went forth.

Seven is the number that expresses completion or totality.

And to speak of seven demons may suggest that she was afflicted by all kinds of sinful habits.

She had done it all, so to speak.

Demonic activity and sinful behavior always go hand in hand.

The more the former is present, the more disordered is the latter.

Now, the fathers of the Western Church, St. Augustine, St. Gregory the Great, and many others

taught that Mary Magdalene was the

sister of Martha and Lazarus. I want to give you four snapshots of Mary to meditate on.

The first is, according to the ancient tradition, Mary was a very wealthy stock, and her father was a man called Cyrus, who owned property all over Israel.
