This week on the Catholic Sprouts podcast, we are going to continue to talk about our great mother in heaven, Mary.

Last week on the podcast, we talked about a whole bunch of things that Mary did while

she was alive on this earth.

We talked about the way she was born, about becoming the mother of Jesus, being assumed

into heaven, and being the greatest disciple.

This week, we are going to talk about all the things that she continues to do after

she entered heaven. Now, Mary has not just been sitting around in heaven all these years. No,

she has been very concerned about us on earth and working very hard to bring us closer to Jesus. Before we dive into all this,

though, I want to spend today talking about why we pray to Mary. Now, chances are if you have

any friends that aren't Catholic, they might think this is a little weird.

They might even say to you, why would you bother praying to Mary when you can just pray to Jesus?

This, my friends, is a very good question.

So let's talk about this.

Why do we pray to Mary?

First of all, Mary is not God. She isn't God. So it might be

confusing why we would pray to Mary. We also need to remember that praying to Mary doesn't

ever take anything away from God, and God will never be mad at us for praying
