I'm Entertainment writer Jim Hill, and my co-host, the Amazing Aaron Adams and I are recording

this on Monday, April 29th, 2019,

which is right after Avengers Endgame has wrapped up its record-breaking opening weekend

and record-breaking really doesn't do justice to this

does it? Well it's kind of like the one ring to rule them all there were many

rings within the stories but there was one that turned out to be a little bit more mighty

than the rest of them and I think this is to borrow an analogy from a completely

different universe this would be the one movie to rule them all for a while if it can top

avatar in the long run if it's got legs if the kids got legs it could make it all

the way you talk with anybody in the industry today it's all about the records that it's blown through. I mean for

example remember on the last show we were we're talking about if it was even

going to be possible for endgame to go past what infinity was that earned in the box office and there were those who were saying

could it make 300 million and well yeah how about 356 million and that's in North America alone and just earlier today they had to revise the

worldwide take because initially it was $1.2 billion and it's like wait wait wait wait we found an extra 20

million so that's 1.22 billion dollars and the ripple effect has been bizarre. I mean Disney company stock today

reached a 52 week high of $142.37. It settled back down to $139, but given that earlier this year the stock was trading

for $97, there's a lot of people at Disney right now who are shareholders who are very happy that the company made this movie.

Yeah, but really stock market isn't as much about where a company actually lives financially.
