The Russo Brothers finally addressed Martin Scorsese's diss on Marvel Movies,

and Chris Evans gives an answer on whether he'll have an appearance in the upcoming Falcon and Winter Soldier series on Disney Plus.

Hi, I'm Zia Anderson from Marvel Movie News here with Marvel News Daily.

A lot of people have waited on the controversial comments from Martin Scorsese saying that Marvel movies are not cinema, including Kevin Feige.

But we've heard nothing from the Russo brothers until now, and they have a very interesting

take on it. When they were asked about Scorsese's comments and how they feel about them,

they mentioned that it's hard to have dialogue with him as he hasn't seen all of the Marvel movies.

And then went on to say, quote, but at the end of the day, what do we know?

We're just two guys from Cleveland, Ohio, and cinema is a New York word.

In Cleveland, we call them movies.

They also said in one of my many favorite quotes on the subject,

the other way to think about it, too, is nobody owns cinema.

We don't own cinema, you don't own cinema, Scorsese doesn't own cinema.

So, who owns cinema? I do really love this take on it. How about we all just go see the movies that resonate with us,

and let's just call it all cinema, shall we? What do you think of the Russo Brothers comments?

And Chris Evans kills all of our hopes and dreams of seeing him in a cameo on the upcoming Falcon and the Winter Soldier series.

Entertainment Tonight asked him the question at the premiere for Knives Out and he said,

quote, no, probably not. I mean, it was really tough to say goodnight. There were a million ways that whole tenure with Marvel could have gone wrong, and it didn't.

And so to stick that landing so well, they would be ashamed to kind of revisit unless there was something very unique and we felt the need to reveal. So for now it just feels like, let's just, let's be content with how well it ended. Look, he's not entirely wrong. We got a wonderful ending for Captain America and it wouldn't feel right bringing him back unless it was for a good reason. What do you think?
