I want to welcome you to the program.

We have another sports medicine topic for you this week,

as we consider a couple of sports that may not immediately come to mind,

but they are ones with increasing popularity and participation,

which means, of course, that more kids are injuring themselves as they get active.

But we want kids to be active and participate in the sports of their choice. And anything we can do to help

prevent injuries and treat the injuries that do occur, the more student athletes will have who

are improving their health and all the other benefits that go along with sports participation,

which we will talk about in the course of our conversation.

So we're considering two sports today, again, that you may not always think about as

sports, but they certainly are martial arts and competitive dance.
