Now, getting back to today's show, there's a longstanding tradition in much of America that designates October 30th of each year,

the day before Halloween, as mischief night.

This is a light-hearted chance for teens to release their rage against their parents by terrorizing the community with eggs

thrown against bay windows, cars covered in shaving cream, and everybody's favorite,

wrapping trees in toilet paper. Sometimes, however, the pranks go a little too far

somebody tries to have too much fun and makes another person angry

the cops can involve

the parents and things can obviously get a little ugly.

But we look back on these things and smile

because a big part of your job as a young person

is to make a lot of mistakes on the path to finding who you are.

Unless that mistake is murder.
