Hollywood Reporters Awards Podcast. I'm the host Scott Feinberg and my

guest today is one of the most revered TV comedy writers and producers of the last 30 years, Marta Kaufman.

The 60 year old is best known as the co-creator with David Crane and co-executive producer with

Crane and Kevin Bright, among others, of the sitcom Friends, which was a massive hit on

NBC from 1994 through 2004 and brought her six Emmy nominations for Best

Comedy Series one of which resulted in a win in 2002. But Kaufman also did

great work before Friends earning a best writing for a comedy series

Emmy nomination for another series that she and Crane co-created, HBO's Dream On, in 1993.

And she has continued to do great works since Friends, most recently is the co-creator with

Howard J Morris and an executive producer of Netflix's comedy series, Grace and Frankie, which

stars Jane Fonda and Lily

Tomlin and recently wrapped its third season. Over the course of our

conversation in Kaufman's office on the Paramount Pictures Lot where

Grace and Frankie is shot and where Kaufman and colleagues
