Hey, it's Callie Black here with today's thought.

Let's open up to Genesis chapter 15, verse 18.

In a famous marshmallow experiment, researchers placed one single marshmallow in front of a kid and told

them that if they didn't eat the marshmallow before the researcher returned after a few minutes,

they would get two marshmallows. So each kid would decide if they wanted to eat one marshmallow now

or have two marshmallows later.

Within the chapters that we're studying this week, we learn about God's marvelous covenant with Abraham.

One thing that caught my eye, though, is that so many of the blessings of this covenant are for after Abraham's lifetime.

The Lord promised that Abraham's seed would know God, and that in Genesis chapter 15, verse 18, quote, unto thy seed have I given this land.

They were promised land and great spiritual blessings, but most of this would not be during Abraham's lifetime. And yet Abraham still rejoiced in this

covenant. Not all of our covenant blessings will be fulfilled while we are here on the earth but that doesn't

mean they won't be waiting for us possibly with the second marshmallow sometime in the future so the

takeaway of the day in five words or less god fulfillsills all covenants. Thank you so much for being
