Yeah, this is a reason people should consider donating to Pine The Black because I posted this

story in early June when it was first when the rover team first saw these rocks and I spotted

them and said wait I've never seen crystals like this on Mars before from any

rover this is really unusual looking so I posted it and I noticed that

they, that what the rocks themselves were, the rover had rolled over some rocks and broke

them. And so they went back and wanted to get close up looks of those rocks because they

looked like interesting yellow crystals and that was really unusual and you know

when you break a rock you can see the inside of it and you see more. The rock

homes always bring a rock hammer because they want to break the rocks. So I

notice this since you were to post it. Well this week the JPL Curiosity team had a press release in which they said we have now

analyzed those rocks those strange yellow crystal rocks and this is the first pure sulfur discovered on

Mars that's a big deal the rover has been moving up to what they call

the sulfite bearing layer on mount sharp higher up. It's a very white eroded section and very

distinct and orbital images suggest it has a lot of sulfur in it. I'm not even going to get into why

that sulfur is there because I don't think they know yet. They have theories but I

think they're unsure about everything. But this is the first evidence of that as

they move into that sulfur bearing layer and it's pure sulfur crystals and it's a very cool deal.
