Would you turn with me please this evening to 1 Samuel, 1st Samuel, the second chapter?

Let me say again, I commend you for being here this evening. It shows a certain level of

maturity and understanding, and I believe you'll be rewarded. I believe you'll be blessed

whether you are believing, you know, to increase, grow and develop in your own marriage or

whether you're not yet married. But you're just feeding your spirit and your faith for when you do.

That's wisdom, isn't it?

To be feeding yourself and getting yourself ready.

Marriage is such an important thing.

And it is under such attack in our day.

The enemy is doing everything he can to destroy marriage and home. And there are a lot of different philosophies nowadays and ideas and people say, well, you know, it was real popular a few

years ago. This saying, it takes a village to raise a child. And people have the idea that, you know, one set up is as good as another and really a marriage

is not necessary for successful children and that kind of thing.

But you can also see the problems we have with children nowadays.

And the problem we have with teenagers that are so confused and don't know what a man

and a husband is supposed to be and don't know what a woman and a wife is supposed to be.

There's so much confusion and so much identity crisis and so much insecurity and instability,

and it comes right back to this.

God could have set us up in any number of ways, but this is what he chose.

He made a man, and he made a woman from the man, and he put them together, and he gave them children.

How many think anybody can improve on that or is that

what you should just stay with and you should believe God to conform to the highest ideal

of that which is Christ and the church. He is the head of the church.
