| 0:29.1 | China's always looms large when we talk about these markets the economy there's |
| 0:33.9 | rebounding pretty quickly a lot quicker than many expected after the |
| 0:36.9 | pandemic and a lot faster the most developed economies what's driving the |
| 0:40.8 | growth there and what's the outlook? |
| 0:43.1 | Yes, so look, there are three key reasons why China's economy has really |
| 0:46.1 | rebounded a lot more quickly from the pandemic. |
| 0:48.7 | The biggest reason is simply that China was left relatively unscathed, |
| 0:51.8 | given they had a much lower COVID caseload early on |
| 0:54.4 | and were much quicker in shutting down their economy. |
| 0:56.8 | This allowed them to restart their economy |
| 0:58.4 | a lot more quickly, which is reflected very clearly |
| 1:00.7 | in the recent strong data prints we've seen. In addition, they've had the ability to |
| 1:04.5 | implement fiscal stimulus directly and effectively through infrastructure build-out. And finally, |
| 1:09.3 | the world's recovered a lot more quickly than the dire forecast from a few months ago which has really |
