I'm John Bachelors with my colleague Elizabeth Peak of the Hill and a Fox News much on Fox business taxes.

The Trump tax cut of 2017 is due to expire soon enough in the

next administration. So I pay attention to taxes because that is the pocketbook that we vote on. Right now

Mr Trump is clearly in line to continue if he is the winner and return to the

White House, continue the tax cuts of 2017 maybe even

improve them. Ms Harris to my understanding does not intend to continue them and

in addition Ms Harris is named a number of programs, for example $25,000 to some people who qualify for a first home buy and other generous checks from the government, all of which I put all this

together and rhetorically it adds up to a lot of money. I've heard the number as

high as five trillion. I did not hear that at the debate. I have not heard that much in the news. Is that a number you've heard as well, Liz, that Camla Harris represents $ trillion dollars of additional taxes in her first term.

Yeah, and that's the number that the Tax Foundation I think came out with when they looked at what it would mean to rescind the Trump tax cuts.

She of course is saying that well nobody who earns less than $400,000

I mean, remember, even though Democrats have blasted Trump tax cuts as mainly

favoring wealthy people and corporations, of course, those are the groups that pay the taxes mostly, so yes, it would benefit them.

But also, under the Trump tax because the standard deduction was double, the child tax credit was double,

there were a lot of things that benefited most of Americans and in fact I think even the

New York Times reported something like 85% of Americans saw their taxes go down.

were high-income people in blue states
