I'm John Batson with my colleague Elizabeth Peake of The Hill, a columnist of Fox News, a columnist,

and Liz has a new column up about momentum. Momentum is a sports talk. I used to follow the Yankees

and the Mets very closely, and the word momentum would always come up sometime late in the season

because there would be the chase for the pennant. With Mr. Trump, it comes up very early in the season.

Liz, your column celebrates the momentum. What is it that you see going on now in Washington

that we did not see with Mr. Biden?

And I don't recall it even in the first Trump term.

What's different this time, this?

Well, it's a good question.

Number one, versus Biden, you see a sense of urgency.

You see tremendous energy.

about, you know, every hour, it seems. I think just that the actual activity level in Washington

right now, the transparency of this government, when Trump is speaking to reporters, you know, again, constantly, it seems,

et cetera, all that is different. What's different versus the first term is maybe more interesting,

John, because the Biden administration, I didn't want to talk about it anymore, honestly. It's so

sort of, it's so sort of yesterday. But in terms of the first term, I think Trump came to office this time, prepared, ready to go, his people in place.

Everyone is so alarmed about the firing of the inspector generals.

He had a very simple explanation.

They're not my people.

And I think he learned in that first term that sort of taking a lot of hand-me-down people
