This brings to my attention that a television celebrity Chris Hayes of MS NBC made the peculiar statement that the country is safer.

Safer from what, I'm not certain because this introduces the question of disorder in the major cities that have not recovered.

New York is one of them, San Francisco is one of them, there are others to talk about.

Liz, we vote our pocketbooks, but our pocketbooks are directly linked to security.

Is that case being understood by the administration and by Congress?

Well, it's hard to tell. In other words, I think those of us who live in blue cities and see, for example, retail, theft, just go through the roof, you kind of wonder whether the politicians

that govern our cities and our neighborhoods have lost their minds.

I mean honestly, I was reading today John about someone who is a fellow who is apparently slightly deranged who has been terrorizing the same I think it was a Bronx neighborhood

for something like 10 years and he's been in Jay he's been arrested 39 times

but let out 39 times I mean I don't really understand how anyone in their right mind can think that that's

an important step to to help people in a particular city or whatever.

How can that possibly lead to attracting more residents,

attracting more businesses, etc?

It seems to me that everything that's being done currently, particularly

as I say, in these blue cities in America is completely idiotic. And by the way, the city managers are always telling us, well, crime rates are down.

Joe Biden talks about crime rates are down.

Actually, it's extremely misleading because under one set of surveys, yes, there have been fewer crimes reported.

I can tell you in New York, people simply have given up reporting crimes.

And this is no small thing.
