I'm John Batchett with my colleague Elizabeth Peek of the Hill, a columnist of Fox News

a columnist, and we're looking at the Republican debate beginning in a little more than two

weeks in Milwaukee.

And the candidates are Will Hurd, former U.S. Representative Francis Suarez, a mayor

of Miami, Doug Burnham, Bergam, the governor of North Dakota, Asa Hutchinson, the governor

of Arkansas, Chris Christie, former governor of New Jersey, Vivek Ramaswamy, an investor,

Tim Scott, a senator from South Carolina, Nikki Haley, former governor from South Carolina,

as well as ambassador to the United Nations, Mike Pence, former vice president, and Ron

DeSantis of Florida, and of course Donald Trump, former president of the United States.

It's a big field, the debates begin, the Democrats are not without candidates as well, Joe

Biden has announced his re-elect candidate to see, however I note, Liz, that Mr.

Hannity at Fox is holding a what you'd say a wannabe debate between Ron DeSantis of

Florida and Gavin Newsom of California, suggesting I should mention two other governors in

the Democratic column that would be Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan, and a governor Pritzker

of Illinois. That's a big field of possible presidential candidates, and setting aside

the president and the former president, I can't choose at this point, and I think that's

the point, Liz, we're not supposed to choose until the debates begin, and the primaries

vote. Do you feel that the Republican Party is patient, or are they all looking to the

edge of doom because they don't have a candidate yet?

Well, the good news for the Republican Party, and you just sort of outlined it there, is

that they have a huge bench. So obviously Donald Trump is in the lead. Many Republicans
