I'm George Calutus, and today I'm officially taking over the show from Adam B. Levine.

It's a U.S. holiday, so I have no daily news roundup for you.

Instead, as dramatic as it sounds on today's show, we'll cope with

losing Adam.

Listeners will no doubt miss Adam's voice and I certainly have big shoes to fill. And who

exactly is this guy filling Adam's shoes? Well, hi, I'm George Kulutis.

I went to Davidson College and studied math there, and I really like Bitcoin.

I've been at CoinDust since 2021, and my title is Senior Research Analyst.

But my time these days is mostly spent writing opinion and analysis pieces for our

Consensus Magazine team.

I have a background in high finance as a recovering investment banker, and when it comes to crypto, I'm CoinDisc's

resident Bitcoin Maximilist. Basically, I think Bitcoin is far and away the most important

crypto project, and it's not even particularly close. Now, what does that mean for this show,

Markets Daily? Are we going to throw our laser

eyes on and make this a Bitcoin-only show? Am I going to yell you for not bowing down to the

altar of Satoshi each morning? Well, no. Whether maximalists like it or not, crypto exists,

and this is a CoinDest podcast. So the show will continue the same way in sharing relevant news

covered on CoinDest.com and will look out further and take on macro topics that I care about

and think you should care about. I personally believe CoinDisc employs some of the best

journalists in the game. And since I have a direct line to our newsroom, there will be an attempt

at unbiased news reporting.
