The cabinet of the president-elect Donald Trump now looks very solid when it comes to financial matters,

which, of course, we understand, is what drives us at the polls, the pocketbook.

I welcome Elizabeth Peake, a columnist at the Hill, a columnist at Fox News.

To measure now that we have all three, four jobs in place, one job was appointed in the first term, Mr. Powell.

But we have Mr. Besant at Treasury, Mr. Lutnik at Commerce, Mr. Hassett at the economic advisors in the White House.

I note, I read the Washington Post very carefully.

And as of yet, I've not found a discouraging word said about these three choices.

Is this uniformly too normal for the Washington Post to respond?

I think they have their guns trained elsewhere.

John, like on Pete Hanksett, for example, Tulsi Gabbard, you name it.

But I agree with you that pushback against

the financial and economic nominees is minimal. I think Scott Bessent was viewed as an excellent

choice kind of across the spectrum. Wall Street likes him, policymakers like him, conservatives like him because he's been very

supportive of Donald Trump's agenda. So I think he is a shoe in in terms of nomination as far as I know.

And also just I think he has sort of cheered investors to think that he's a pretty common sense and steady hand

on the tiller. Lutnik viewed as a sort of a little bit of a street fighter, a little bit more

erratic. I think people are happy he was not in the treasury pick, but, you know, as Commerce

Secretary, he might be willing to tackle some of the more

controversial issues that come before commerce, certainly to do with tariffs, but also, I would
