I don't know if you remember, but MGM was one of the properties in Las Vegas brought to its knees by a ransomware attack.

Caesar's also and Caesar's properties.

And a lot of the MGM Resorts properties affected.

The MGM Resorts International Computer System down for 10 days last year.

So the investigation goes on and they actually make an arrest.

It's a 17-year-old.

He's in England.

A 17-year-old English teenager arrested over an alleged connection to a hacking group responsible for a series of ransomware attacks on American companies, including the one that kept MGM Resorts International's computer system down for 10 days.

He's been released on bail.

He's believed to have been working with a large-scale cyber hacking community

that carried out an online attack in September,

which left the MGM resort chain vulnerable, they say.

MGM hotels and casino properties across the country

were affected by that cybersecurity issue. They went dark in an attempt to protect systems and data.

And you'll remember, customers were all over social media. I mean, customers at MGM properties.

They couldn't get onto ATM, slot machines, restaurants,

digital room keys, didn't work.

It was an extraordinary thing, and it went over multiple days.

They were able to somewhat resume normal operations at most properties after a few days.

It was probably about a week before they really got things back to quasi-normal.
