I'm just following up on your comments by Colbert.

Nothing is more of a proxy of the decline of television to go from Steve Allen to Colbert.

I mean, Steve Allen was very liberal politically, but he wrote, but you would never know it.

Well, actually, I worked with Steve Allen for three years.

You'd certainly know it because he'd tell you about it, but 98% of the time he'd be doing comedy once in a while he'd get into something political.

Absolutely.

And he wrote books about it.

Yeah, and also the difference, again, I did a show with Steve Allen every day for three years.

He, if he got liberal or political, it was in an intellectual way.

It was interesting.

It wasn't, there was no anger in him.

He had no anger whatsoever.

That's the difference.

It's one thing that is fine to be political and be left wing, but the problem with the Colbert stuff is just angry, vicious, vile.

You could see the steam coming out of his ears.

When he talked about Trump, you could see the hatred.

It was just, it didn't belong in late-night television where it's supposed to be fun and funny and
