Hey, it's Fourth of July weekend. It's a big three-day weekend. We've got lots to talk about.

We'll talk about the big getaway and all the trouble that travelers might be facing. We'll get to

a crazy old Joe. Blooper-wise, not too bad on this trip. Oh, there are a few bloopers we'll get to.

We'll get to Eric Adams and Kathy Hokel, the two worst crime fighters in history uh you won't believe

the latest crime that's breaking out especially in upstate new york we'll get to that uh coming up

we'll get to these supreme court decisions and uh and a whole lot more uh joe bartlett you're not

getting on a plane this weekend are you no i've had my fill planes. I'm not getting on a plane for quite a while.

Yeah, he went through what? A lot of people are going through these nightmares where you just stuck for days, hours, months in an airport, and it's going to be awful this weekend.

50 million people are expected to travel. It's a combination of factors, one, the pandemic.

People went nuts when it was over and they could travel again, traveling more than ever.

People who couldn't travel anywhere for a year and a half, two years now traveling more than ever.

That's part of the problem.

The other problem is shortage of everything,

including lots of shortages of pilots, because during the pandemic, what were the airlines thinking?

Yeah, they were mostly shut down for a while, but they started to get rid of pilots. They

started to not just lay off, but retire pilots at a very fast rate, offering them those, you know, deals where you can retire now and severance packages.

So they got rid of a ton of pilots.

The remaining pilots are working like quadruple overtime, and many of them are picketing now.

They can't take it anymore.

Did you ever actually get on a plane or you were stuck in the

airport all no no i was stuck on a plane for five hours and then stuck in an airport overnight

you mean five hours sitting there on a plane yes what the hell do you do for five hours
