0:00.0 | Ladies and gentlemen, the following segment of the podcast is presented exclusively by Hillsdale College. |
0:06.0 | Now, in its 175th year, Hillsdale is a truly independent institution, where learning is prized and intellectual enthusiasm is valued. |
0:15.0 | Thank you for listening and my sincere appreciation to Hillsdale for their sponsorship. |
0:44.0 | I can't give you the phone number because I'm in Israel. There's no point calling me. I'm not taking any calls. I'm here all week. |
0:51.0 | I'm going to tell you all about it. We're having a magnificent time. We've been at the city of David, which the New York Times doesn't quite get. |
0:58.0 | We'll get to that in a little bit. We've been to other places too. But I'm here with a very good friend of mine and honored guests, the ambassador to the United States from Israel. |
1:08.0 | Ron Dermer, how are you, sir? Good. Great to be with you. |
1:11.0 | We've never done this in studio. No, no. So I had to come to Israel at the Christian broadcasting network. |
1:18.0 | In order to talk to my friend Ron. Five, six flights of stairs. I'll tell you what. Let's jump into this. First of all, I want to talk about Iran. |
1:26.0 | And then there's a lot else that we can talk about. And by the way, none of you have been to Israel or if you've not been to Israel, it's unbelievable. |
1:35.0 | It's history every step of the way is history. Now, Iran. I'm reading now that Iran has hit the point where they're processing nuclear fuel. |
1:46.0 | At a level they're not supposed to be or had said they would limit of their uranium. They exceeded that they agreed to in the nuclear deal that they signed. |
1:55.0 | But this is a violation that they admitted to. Iran. Iran violates the deal. The whole deal was actually based on a lie that Iran was not seeking nuclear weapons. They supposedly came clean about all their past. |
2:07.0 | But as the world saw when Israel obtained the nuclear archive from the heart of Tehran over a year ago. And when the prime minister, prime minister Netanyahu presented it to the world, the whole deal was based on a lie that Iran was not seeking nuclear weapons. |
2:23.0 | They've always sought nuclear weapons. They continue to seek it. I think you'll see more actually revealed in the near future. But in this case, Iran is admitting to violating the nuclear deal by enriching more than the 300 kilos of lone-rich uranium that they were allowed to do under this deal. |
2:44.0 | And really the question will be, will the European countries at least, will they respond to this brazen violation of Iran by snapping back to sanctions? |
2:55.0 | Because that's what they said when the deal was signed. Not necessarily signed. But when the deal was made, the European country said if Iran violates this deal, we're going to snap back sanctions. |
3:05.0 | So we'll have to see. And hopefully Europe will follow President Trump's lead and impose equipping sanctions on Iran because those sanctions are working. They're creating enormous economic pressures on Iran. |
3:18.0 | And this is the most dangerous regime in the world, the foremost sponsor of terrorism in the world. And all that money that was going into Iran that they obtained from this nuclear deal. |
3:29.0 | And subsequently from their ability to sell oil because the sanctions were removed, that money was using to fuel Iran's war machine in the Middle East. And because of the actions President Trump has taken, that fuel is running dry. |
3:44.0 | And it's important for Europe to join him to stand with the United States and to continue to increase economic pressures on Iran. |
3:55.0 | And if you touch another just now, you find a cash of documents didn't find them. Got them. |
